LOGODEF and its Board of Trustees members, Dr. Gaudioso Sosmeña, Dr. Guillermo, and Executive Director Edmund Tayao, welcomed the Vietnam Ministry of Home Affairs – Institute for State Organizational Sciences (ISOS) delegates last 01 December 2016 at the Embassy of Vietnam in Pablo Ocampo Street, Malate, Manila. The members of the delegation were the Mr. Tran Van Ngoi (President of ISOS), Mr. Ta Ngoc Hai (Deputy President of ISOS), Ms. Nguyen Huyen Hanh (Head of Division for Renumeration, Public Policies in Regime), Ms. Hoang Thi Lan Huong (Officer, ISOS), Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Anh (Representative, MOHA – ISOS), and Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Giang (Researcher, ISOS).
The Vietnam Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA) has been undertaking efforts to strengthen and capacitate its Civil Service Management arm, and ISOS being the policy instrument of MOHA, will propose policy recommendations with help from relevant Philippine Government institutions, and of course LOGODEF. The delegation is currently undertaking a research project entitled “Researching for Theories and Practices in Building and Completing Cadres, Civil Servants System at the Commune level”, and in line with this, the Embassy of Vietnam in the Republic of the Philippines recommended LOGODEF to elucidate on the Civil Service Management system at the commune (barangay) level.
