The Local Government Development Foundation (LOGODEF) committed to be a supporting partner to the “Digital Strategies for Development Summit”, a two-day event to be held on 2-3 October at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) in Makati City.
The summit aims to gather 300 participants and 30 speakers from different countries and organizations to share ideas and provide solutions to social problems the region currently faces. Further, the event seeks to maximize the benefits of digital technology, venturing especially on initiatives to ensureventuring especially on initiatives to ensure sustainable projects for a better society.
Discussions during the two-day summit will be focused on increasing the awareness of people with digital strategies and innovations. Among the issues that will be tackled include problems associated with the development of digital technologies. The plenary will zero in on matters covering technology, governance, youth, education & employment, disaster management, and health. Parallel breakout streams will further showcase solutions to problems in governance, youth, education, and employment, health, and disaster management.
Prof. Edmund Tayao, LOGODEF’s Executive Director, will join the conference as one of the panelists during the panel discussion on e-Governance. Prof. Tayao will be joined by distinguished representatives and speakers from government and other relevant civil society organizations.
The event is organized by the Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation (ASSIST) and the AIM Stephen Zuellig Graduate School of Development Management, in partnership with the Local Government Academy (LGA) and Asian NGO. ASSIST is an international organization which focuses on capacity-building of different organizations across Asia and Africa.
